Oats Two Ways (Part 2)

Next, I made my almond joy granola! Here were the ingredients I used:

  • 3 cups Quaker Oats 
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup shaved coconut
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

First combine the brown sugar and oats in a large bowl.

Then in a small bowl mix together the honey and oil.

Next chop up the almonds and place them, coconut shavings, and the chocolate chips in the bowl with the oats!

Add in the honey/oil mixture to stick all of the ingredients together!

Finally, spread the mixture across a pan and put it in a oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, then mix it around, and bake it for another 10-15 minutes, until browned.

Place the granola back in the bowl and let it cool in the fridge for a couple hours. Once cooled, mix it all together again and it should be crunchy and ready to eat!

Enjoy this with greek yogurt and fresh berries or just by itself as a snack! I’ve been taking a ziploc bag of this to school recently when I’ve run out of  time to eat breakfast and just to snack on throughout the day! If you love Almond Joys, you will love this granola as well, and it becomes a little addictive!
